Latitude Wellness is proud to offer a Clinical Supervision program that provides support and guidance to therapists and mental health professionals.

Clinical Supervisor Requirements:

Per the BCACC Guidelines, all folks must have the following-

  • An active BCACC membership in good standing

  • A masters degree in Counselling Psychology (or in a related field)

  • 5 years of post graduate clinical experience with a minimum of 1000 direct client contact hours

  • Professional liability insurance

  • Is a certified/designated supervisor from a professional/regulatory body (e.g., RCC-ACS, CCS, CAMFT-S, etc.)

Meet our Clinical Supervisor:

Our Clinical Supervision Program head is Gorette Imm.

Gorette is a highly skilled and compassionate therapist with over 15 years of experience. As a dedicated professional, she has made significant contributions to the mental health community through her clinical work, research, and commitment to training the next generation of therapists. She has contributed to the field through her research on the impact of family dynamics on mental health outcomes. Gorette has presented her work at national conferences, and has published articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, she provides consultation and education on mental health to various government and community organizations.

Her specialities include individual, couples, & family counselling across their lifespan. Her therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based and wise practices, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical-behaviour therapy (DBT), emotion focused therapies, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy. She has a deep understanding of diverse cultural perspectives and is committed to providing trauma informed and culturally competent care. She has experience working with various client presentations, with a specialization in trauma, eating disorders, substance abuse, and supporting victims of violence.

As a clinical supervisor, Gorette has mentored and guided numerous therapists through their practicum and registration experience. Her supervision style is collaborative and strengths-based. She looks to foster a supportive learning environment, and believes in cultivating the unique talents of each supervisee, while also providing constructive feedback to enhance their clinical skills.
